I fallowed the instuctions you gave, and my network connection still doesn't work. Said:

ping: unknown host www.google.com.
also, while i was in root, i tried /etc/network/interface, and still got the "Permission denied" error message. Please which way do I go, I have been working on the network for almost a week straight; going a little nuts.

Help Please,
Steve

Hello Virgil,
I've updated the post to match the RC1 of Flash Player 11. Perhaps this will work better for you.
If you need help, try to be a little bit more specific, so that I know what did not work (the download, the tar command, the cp command, the plugin itself, etc. ?).

For this kind of question, you should ask the appropriate forum: http://ubuntuforums.org/ (use the lubuntu prefix when posting)
But I would advise you to be more precise in your question by specifying what you intend to do. Imagine that you just posted the following question: "how to decorate my room?" Be more specific.

Nice trip you're about to begin (maybe you're already there ??). Anyway, I hope you'll enjoy yourself there, you really deserve it after this hard working year.
I'll be waiting for your photos and stories.

See you.

Thanks for the excellent tutorial. I will be using more of yours.

Unless it was a copy-paste trap, there is a minor typo :). "sudo -u dpkg-user contab -e" should be "sudo -u dpkg-user crontab -e" (cRontab, not contab)

Hi Nikki,
Free has 2 meanings in English. One is cost-free, one is related to freedom (liberté, libre in French).
This article is about the second meaning, I could run a completely free (as in a free speech) laptop. Of course, no laptop is for free (as in a free beer).
If you want to learn more of what is a free software, check the Free Software Foundation web site: http://www.fsf.org/
